Winery Background Information
Villa Sandi lies in the heart of Treviso in the north east of Italy and has a history that goes back to the 17th century. The Moretti Polegato family have been devoted to wine culture for many generations and their winemaker Stefano Gava has consistently won prestigious awards for their range of Proseccos. Villa Sandi own five wine estates including a 1.5-hectare estate in the heart of the highly sought after Cartizze region.
Vineyard info / Viticulture
Province of Treviso, on the Montello and Colli Asolani Hills, de-carbonated soil of medium depth. Vines are trained single espalier, with double canopy systems. 3,000 vines per hectare.
Vinification
Whole grapes are put into the pneumatic press for soft pressing and the resulting must, after a first racking, is put into controlled temperature tanks where it remains until it is used for the production of sparkling wine.
Tasting Note
Very pale straw yellow and fine persistent pearlage – fruity aroma, hints of ripe gold apple – elegant flowery sensation.

Marinated fish, delicate aromatic herbs – ideal for aperitif and Friday fish and chips.
